Teach For Us

You Deserve to Do What You Love For a Living. There are a lot of ways to get involved with the Terra Firma Institute. You can take courses, volunteer, learn a new language or instrument, be an intern or even teach for us in your spare time. The people who teach for us are not the kind of people that sit behind a desk all day. They are off in the world, living what they teach and loving what they do. It makes all the difference. By policy, all of our resident mentors, tutors and staff must keep up with their own education by taking a few classes we offer routinely.

Life Is For Adventure. We believe in life long learning and by living it we are able to provide the best advice, guidance and skills you will need to succeed. Through our combined expertise, we at the Terra Firma Institute have set foot on every continent on Earth with the exception of Antarctica and it is only a matter of time before one of us visits the South Pole. We love this world, we love to see it firsthand and share it with everyone we can and the dozens of tutors, mentors, teachers and volunteers that make up Terra Firma are proud to count ourselves among the most up and coming adventurers, explorers, scientists, conservationists, community activists and teachers in our fields.

Think you can help? If you are a person who enjoys teaching or even someone with a skill others may want to learn, you may be what we are looking for. We offer a generous 70% share for you and a 30% share for us to cover our costs. So, if you are already teaching a class somewhere else or thinking of teaching one, we invite you to consider offering it at your local Terra Firma Institute. All you need is a group of five people minimum and we will allow you to advertise your class and use our facilities to meet as often as you want during our lesson hours.
